Authority Makes You Dishonest

I’d say 9 out of 10 times you lead with authority you’ll be wrong, but 10 out of 10 times you’ll be dishonest…

The reason for this is because at a fundamental level, confirmation bias is dishonest. It is mechanically impossible to consider things objectively when or if your strive to keep reality and all things considered local and convenient to your own beliefs, habits and practices.

And when you attempt to establish authority on things, what you’re actually doing is attempting to make whatever you’re perceiving convenient to things you’ve either learned or believe to be true.

Any person who attempts to lead into discussion by establishing, edifying or seeking to make things conform to or align with their own sense of authority, by proxy of the information and ideas they take on authority, is by default a fundamentally dishonest person.
