Humans Meet God
Upon crossing over to the other side of reality…
Just before sorting humans into the cycles that would ultimately become the systems of organization that govern the types of life forms they re-spawn as…
The body-mind, that is, the conscious, adaptive and responsive entity that facilitates “being” — organization, growth and awareness for and within this universe — the entity that humans and society refer to as “GOD”, stops humans to ask them a few questions before making its pronouncements against them…
God to humanity (and society): “You’re in quite a predicament it seems…”
Humanity: “Well it doesn’t matter now, just get it over with. We’re ready to face the music.”
God: “I don’t really like this part so much… It seems you all have false confidence about the circumstances you’re heading into, and that you assume you’ll simply adapt to the coming conditions, based on your experiences in the mortal realm.”
Humans: “It’s not our fault we’re like this. We never got a fair chance.”
God: “What are you talking about? I sent more than enough guides to help you get your shit together.”
Humans: “How could we know who to trust?”
God: “I made the people I was working through very, VERY OBVIOUS. In fact, I made them stick out in society like a sore thumb. All you had to do was practice reasoning, personal honesty and observation, and they’d practically be GLOWING to you. Any issues you had with trusting them were based solely on how inconvenient either they or the things they were saying were to your own status beliefs. You didn’t trust them because your vanity wouldn’t let you.”
Humans: “Oh, those people? Yeah, we saw them but we didn’t like them. You should’ve sent someone better.”
God: “Oh really? Do tell me how to do a better job of being me…”
Humans: “Well first, you need to pick better people to represent you. They should be statuesque, charismatic and broadly appealing.”
God: “This is good stuff… Let me grab my notepad real quick. Okay, I’ve got it. Do go on…”
Humans: “Also, whoever you choose to represent you needs to tell us we’re right and that you like us (or more accurately me and the groups I define myself by at the personal level) the most.”
God: “Mm-hm, mm-hm… Go on…”
Humans: “Also, you could do more to reassure us, and let us know that you exist.”
God: “You do realize that you’re literally in my body right now… The fact that I exist can be found in the wide variety of nature you all keep (well, kept) destroying, repurposing and imitating, in efforts to make yourselves more comfortable. But hey… You’ve got the floor now. Please finish telling me how I can do a better job of being me. You’ve got my full attention…”
Humans: “You could’ve certainly made life easier for us.”
God: “So let me stop you real quick, just to be sure I’m tracking where you’re going with this… You’re part of a disease infecting MY body. And I should have done more to create additional opportunities for you within the very system that’s literally destroying and consuming me. I should have done more to help you advance within the system that’s destroying me? Am I following you…?”
Humans: “Yes! AND you could’ve sent us better messengers too! People we liked and wanted to listen to and fantasize about! People who make us feel important and like you value us above all others…”
God: “So basically what you’re saying is that I would be a much better God if I worked harder to cater to your desires and social priorities?”
Humans: “Exactly!”
God: “And just curious here… What would I get out of such an exchange?”
Humans: “Well, you’d get our respect, praise and worship.”
God: “Is that really valuable to me though? What makes you think your respect and lip service is worth anything to me at all? Are you really so vain that you believe your acknowledgement is a type of reward for me, reality and this universe? A reward I should be working to earn from you?”
Humans: “Yes, it is…”
God: “What can I do with your respect? How can I use it as a tool to accomplish anything?”
Humans: “Well, our respect will make us want to follow your rules.”
God: “Why would I need to give you rules?”
Humans: “Because if you don’t, then simply we’d continue doing whatever we want, and consuming and destroying as we please.”
God: “So what you’re basically saying is that even after I would cater to your desires, I’d still have to do the additional work of creating and enforcing rules, because you don’t want to be conscientious participants in reality?”
Humans: “Basically. That’s just how we are.”
God: “No. That is not how you are. That’s an attitude and outlook you’ve nurtured within yourselves. Your stupid mental limitations are products of programs you create and reinforce. Vanity is not an inherent trait. It is something learned and something nurtured. There is no space, and no purpose for that type of being in this universe. You will be dismantled now and cast out of this universe, into a state of disorientation you have absolutely no ability to conceive of. And the consciousness you’ve failed to develop and implement in mortality will be with you, while you wait for countless eons to reform into anything resembling matter. You bring this on yourselves. You are corrupted with vanity.”
