Look, I totally get it…
I know you’re scared…
It’s not fair…
You learned all the wrong things, and were given all the wrong tools to make sense of reality with, and now you’re confronted by things that don’t allow you to participate or perform in the ways you know how and/or are used to…
You learned all the wrong things…
You learned to conform with and fight on behalf of or against representations of authority, during times you should be scrutinizing and auditing situational facts…
You were taught to confuse “being right” (that is, being in theme with what’s recognized as or taken on authority) with “being accurate” (that is, being consistent with reality)…
You were taught that reality and authority are interchangeable, and that authority dictates reality…
You learned to fight and double down during times you should be paying attention and being honest, adaptive and reasonable…
You learned to posture and peacock in the face of wisdom and understanding, as opposed to revering and celebrating it, and allowing it to enhance you to whatever degree it can…
You were taught to act during times you should be transparent…
You learned to defend and develop the character you’re trying to be and sell to audiences, instead of being authentically grounded in reality…
You learned that the things you’re ideologically connected to enhance you, and make you better and more deserving of considerations, rewards and degrees of freedom than those who don’t belong to the groups you seek to define yourself by…
You learned how to be “moral” instead of conscientious and compassionate…
You were taught that you’re special and unique among people, and that you’re a diamond in the rough, just waiting for the right circumstance to come along and polish and refine you into the ‘gem of beauty’ you were born to be…
You’re a groomed narcissist…
You’re a true product of society — a virus that lives and benefits at the expense of, not just this planet and its building blocks, but you as well…
You were trained by society…
You think like society…
You value like society; and seek to procure and demonstrate value both from and to others in social (parasitic) ways…
You were taught to trust institutions and people with institutional power, in lieu of actually thinking and investigating for yourself…
You were taught that reality should conform to you, instead of how to realize and get in sync with it..
And for many of you, it seems all you have is the arsenal of tools and weapons society gave you…
Faith…
Hope…
Belief…
Knowledge (and institutions)…
Perseverance…
Addictions (to both physical and conceptual substances)…
Aggression (violence)…
Rage and outrage…
Narcissism (vanity/pride)…
Idealism…
Allegiances…
Cowardice (the desire to injure and punish people and things, so as to quell feelings of insecurity and uncertainty within self)…
Echo chambers (groups and ideologies)
Bravado (false confidence)…
Bullying and intimidation…
Theft, invasion and piracy…
Authority…
Control…
(etc…)
And while these tools might seem to work well enough in society, they’re pretty much a sure fire recipe for how to get fucked up by reality.
You were taught all the wrong things; and it’s not your fault…
You should understand that reality doesn’t blame you for being out of sync with it. You were taught (actually made) to go left when you should be going right instead. You were told to look up when you should be looking ahead, and told to stand still when you should be stepping forward…
Unfortunately though, reality doesn’t give a flying fuck about what you believe or that or even how you’ve been led astray. You literally have all the natural tools you require in order to understand reality; and should you choose to not employ those tools, because simply going with authority and/or groups is just easier, then you will have made your choice; that is, you will have exercised your “free will”…
Sadly, being out of sync with reality does have natural consequences, and those consequences are much steeper than the human experience will allow you to conceive of…
Maybe you should take some time to set aside the tools society has given you, and start asking questions and trying to understand reality better. At the very least, you should thoroughly test the tools society’s given you, to be sure they’re legit and up to snuff.
Anything that attempts to deter you from investigation can’t be good for you — and certainly not in theme with truth. Truth hides nothing. And anything that tries to control or hide truth simply can’t be in theme with it…
Personally speaking, I’d abandon the cowardice and step up to the plate.
You only get so many chances to switch your mode, and it seems those chances are running out…
